How-Guest-Blogging-Webinars-and-an-eBook-can-Change-Your-Business-Overnight

Are you guest blogging, doing webinars or have you written a book?

I have and the results are in!

Are you doing enough marketing online to really reach your audience? I learned a long time ago that a website, blog, podcasts and videos are worthless if no one knows your content is there or if they do and they are not paying any attention to it.

How do I find my audience online and how do I get their attention?

When they do find me, why should they buy from me?

In December I shared what was in store for the future with an article titled “How My Marketing Strategies in 2014 Positioned Me For Explosive Growth in 2015.”

In it I shared my goals for 2015 and I’m excited to share that I’m way ahead of schedule from where I thought I would be.

Today is a very, very exciting day for me. Although I never have a “bad” day I do have days that are better than others.  Well, today is one of those days that I will remember for the rest of my life.

Why you might wonder?

It’s not every day that you:

  • Publish a second guest article on a world class blog like SEMrush.com
  • Prepare to meet hundreds of people on a live webinar with SEMrush as a follow-up to my guest article
  • The pre-order launch of my new eBook titled “The Shift – The Fast Paced Transition from Mass Marketing to Context Marketing”

Marketing is hard work but it’s necessary and the most important work you will do in your business!  I get asked all of the time “how do you do it, it seems like you’re everywhere.”

Isn’t it beautiful when that happens? LOL…

The truth is I have a very clearly defined set of goals and a plan to implement and execute them. I’m not winging it, it’s intentional.

Let’s look at what I’ve accomplished in 2015 already:

Published an article titled “Do You Want Traffic From Google? Then Build a Community!” that thanks to my community has led the way in comments on SEMrush.com and now I’m posting my second article there today and on March 12th I will be in a live webinar with hundreds of people.

Published a guest blog article on my site each Thursday by invitation only and the quality of those articles are phenomenal! Want to see their fantastic posts, click on their names. Thank to each contributor for your articles:

I have written articles on the following sites since January and I’m scheduled on the following:

I’ve connected with Brandon Schaefer at 90DayEntrepreneur.com and we are planning a live event in Philadelphia in April.

I’ve written my first eBook now available for pre-order titled “The Shift – The Fast Paced Transition from Mass Marketing to Context Marketing”.

Be sure to check out some endorsements that are coming in and this video by Donna Merrill:

If you want to be successful online you are going to have to figure out WHAT BUSINESS IN ARE “REALLY” IN and how to create relationships with people that you mutually and beneficially help one another reach your audiences and grow your business.

Between my blog, webinars and my new eBook I will have access to thousands upon thousands of new prospects and people interested in my business. Access is not the same thing as getting them to my website and becoming my customers.

It’s only an opportunity, but those opportunities are paving the way for my goals to become reality because I’m prepared and ready for them.

Do you want your marketing online to really work for you? It doesn’t matter if you’re an online business or an offline business that has an online marketing presence.

You can increase your business through the web if you take the time to build your foundation and then create strategies you can execute that will take your business to greater profitability. It happens in that order and there are no shortcuts!

If you want to use the web to grow your business, I want to ask you to do three things:

First, check out the landing page for my new eBook and learn how it will help you start learning about how marketing has changed, the influences and habits in your mind that are holding you back and pre-order the book.

Check out all the latest endorsments. Here is just one that’s from Deborah Tutnauer:

“To be recognized as a leader in your field, and as the go-to company in your product arena, your marketing message must reach not only the ears, but the hearts and problems of your target audience. 21st Century marketing is different than the marketing of the past 100 years. Every day people are bombarded with digital and media messaging, create a din of voices that are easily ignored. Don Purdum, in The Shift clearly outlines how you and your message can stand out, be noticed, recognized and responded to.  Don asks the questions that every business owner must now answer to move beyond mass marketing mantra of old and play in the new game of contextual marketing. In The Shift, Don will show you how to think about your business along with specific action oriented steps to take now. I highly recommend this book for anyone who has a product or service and is passionate about making a difference for their customers and a solid income for themselves.”

Second, check out my article today on SEMrush titled “Are You Strong in Tech But Struggle in Marketing? Learn How Gaining Clarity Can Earn You More Customers” if you’re a company that struggles in marketing or want to gain a different perspective on how to consider doing marketing differently for a better result. (The article will post at 12:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time on Monday, March 2, 2015)

Third, register for the live webinar (it will be recorded if you can’t make it) with SEMrush titled “5 QUESTIONS THAT WILL TRANSFORM YOUR CONTENT MARKETING OVERNIGHT

Do you have a comment or question, please leave one below. I would love to extend the conversation.

    1. Hi Ana,

Thank you very much for stopping by and encouraging me.

I am in awe and amazed at the results that are coming in this week from several podcast interviews and the webinar with SEMrush.

I appreciate you and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!

      ~ Don

  1. Don, I enjoyed reading your article and I have also learned a lot.

I am new to blogging so I haven’t done any guest blogging as yet. I am still learning but I absolutely would love to be a guest blogger in the future.

I agree with the point you made that “Marketing is hard word” – You are now reaping the benefits of the hard word you put it.

Congrats on your Ebook. I look forward to reading it.

    Cheers
    Vivette

    1. Hi Vivette,

Thank you so much for sharing. Guest blogging is a lot of work but the reward is so worth it, especially if you’re blogging on the sites of influential bloggers. It unfortunately doesn’t do you a lot of good to blog on a site and all that you get in return is your normal readers…

It’s definitely a two-way street, and it is hard work but I love the results that come from having complete clarity around my business, the problems I solve and who I solve them for.

Thanks for the kind words about my eBook. I do hope you’ll get a copy and read it. I would love to hear your feedback.

      Have a great week!

      ~ Don

  2. Hi Don,
Till now I have not written any guest article on any blog after reading this article I want to try one guest article on other blogs, really webinar and ebook can bring lot of change in expanding our blog’s reputation.

    1. Hi Siddaiah,

People want to read and learn from the best, and the best way to project our knowledge and expertise is to get out there and share them.

I hope you have a great experience!!!

      ~ Don

  3. This is a wonderful article Don!

Thanks for sharing your experience and letting us know how
did you find your audience online.

Guest Blogging, Webinars and an eBook can Change Your
Business Overnight. Encouraging newbies to professionals that haven’t tried one
of them is a great idea. All of them are beneficial to bloggers or
    marketers/business.

Planning, mind mapping and scheduling your post are
    necessary.

I believe they can draw more audience and convert more sales
if they will give their all to produce a well-written post, wonderful and
    enjoyable podcast or eBook.

    1. Hi Metz,

Thank you very much! I appreciate your kind words and encouragement!

All of these things can make a huge difference, the real issue is that people are trying so hard to get clear on what to do before knowing why they ought to do it.

As I share in my book, if a business owners doesn’t understand their business how can one expect an audience to understand the business. We have to give people a reason to buy from us, right?

Thanks again for your comment Metz! I hope you have a great weekend!

      ~ Don

  4. Hi, Don,

Well done, my friend – you’re tearing it up! So happy for you. 🙂

Congratulations on the new book and for being a regular on SEMRush – how cool is that? You’re worked very hard, and deserve every bit of recognition you’ve gotten.

I’ve already pre-ordered your book and am greatly anticipating reading it. Sharing with all.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy!

    Sincerely!
    ˜Carol Amato

    1. Hi Carol,

Thank you so, so, so, soooo much Carol!

I’m excited to have a product than people can buy at a lower price point than my coaching and consulting; and I can still make a difference for my fellow business owners and entrepreneurs.

I’m so excited you pre-ordered the book. It goes live tomorrow so it will be in your Kindle.

I appreciate you Carol and I’m so grateful to call you a friend. Your wisdom and willingness to offer me advice has been extremely valuable to me. Thank you!!!!

Have a great end to your week!

      ~ Don

  5. Hi Don,

Congratulations! You’ve had an awesome week already and I’m so pleased to read that all your hard work and planning last year is bearing fruit ahead of schedule this year! That is excellent!

    – David

    1. Hi David,

Thank you, I appreciate the very kind words! It’s been a lot of fun but also very hard work. Isn’t that the way it ought to be?

This year has been off to a great start. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in the next couple of months. I’ll be sharing the book on 860 am in Philadelphia on March 27th and next week I have a few significant podcasts I will be interviewed on.

      It’s definitely exciting times!

Thanks again David for the kind words and I hope the book benefits you greatly!

      ~ Don

  6. I agree, truly impressive Don!

Don’t know you that well, but you sure are a shining example. Putting down goals, working towards those goals with focus, and reaping the rewards.

Sure to inspire others. Congratz on your success 🙂

  7. Hi Don,

    Congratulations and celebrations 🙂

This is indeed good news, and now I see where you’ve been busy all this time! You’ve surely achieved a great deal in this short time period, which is only due to your hard work and dedication – keep going!

Just amazes me as to how you found the time to sit and write the eBook too! Awesome indeed, and we wish you lots of success with it now.

Thanks for sharing this with us. Have a nice week ahead 🙂

    1. Hi Harleena,

Thank you very much!!!! It’s been a busy few weeks for sure. That’s why I haven’t been as active on Aha-Now! But I’ll be back shortly.

Time is made for what’s important and the book is way past due. I will have three more in a series behind it.

Thank you for your support Harleena!

I hope you have a great Wednesday.

      ~ Don

  8. Hey Don,

I’ve really seen you blow up within the last year. I have to say congratulations to you for all that you’ve achieved and the fact that it has really paid off.

You’ve been featured in so many blog posts, doing webinars, and to top it off you’re doing weekly guest posts on SEMrush. What more can you ask for 😉 Still a lot more.

Now you have your new ebook. I definitely have to download and read it. The title itself is quite interesting. It would be nice the know those changes that went from mass marketing to content marketing online and what businesses need to know now in regards to those changes.

Thanks for all the info. you have been giving us thus far Don! It’s definitely appreciated!

    1. Hi Sherman,

It’s been an exciting journey Sherman and I’m just getting started!!!! Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a great deal to me!

I’m delighted you want to get my eBook. Please don’t forget to click the link in the article on the book and get access to it. The changes that we are experiencing are massive and so many business owners are missing out on it. But, they don’t have to!

Again, I really appreciate your Sherman!

      ~ Don

  9. Hey Don,

I’m not surprised that you are already surpassing the plans you have on your agenda for this year with your business. You are a “get to work” kind of guy and don’t mess around. Everything you do is deliberate and has a purpose.

I’m so excited to see you back at SEMRush and looks like on a monthly basis now. I have no doubt that anyone on that upcoming webinar will really benefit from your knowledge.

You are out there guest posting, attending conferences and really doing what it takes to get recognized for what you are an expert in and that’s helping people understand what business they are really in. That is definitely something a lot of people still need help with.

I’m excited to have you as my guest in June but until then looks like you have your hands full.

I would encourage anyone who has not ordered your book to get to it. Having read it myself I can definitely say it’s a must read.

I wish you the very best Don and have a great week.

    ~Adrienne

    1. Hi Adrienne,

Yes, I will be on SEMrush monthly now and I’m looking forward to the webinar next Thursday.

I don’t know any other way to do it Adrienne. I was just reading on Kevin Duncan’s site an article on passivity and blogging. I learned a long time the slower you go the faster opportunities pass you buy.

There are a lot of cool things happening. Did you see I’m going to be on 860 am in Philadelphia in a few weeks? Live and in studio. Isn’t that cool.

I also have 3 podcasts that have reached out to me for an interview on the book and they all have great audiences.

I’m really looking forward to being on your blog in June. It will be exciting. I’ll have to clear my calendar that day to be ready to engage, engage and engage some more.

Thank you soooo much for your support this week on the eBook. I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate you!

I hope you have a great end to your week!

      ~ Don

  10. Hi Don,
A power-packed post I must reveal! 😀 Its not everyday I get to be inspired by posts that readily display practical lessons. Your posts are filled with practical lessons. I am readily impressed with the way you are going about with the podcast.
Congratulations for having your posts published at SEMrush and for your new ebook. I would only be surprised if you are not at this level because you take time and effort to put in your best in what you do!

Its inspiring to know what you have accomplished so far in 2015 already ( the first quarter is not even over), and I wish you many more success in the coming months!

    Just registered for the Webinar!
I shared this comment in kingged.com as well.

    1. Hi Sunday,

Thank you so very much for sharing that with me. That’s really exciting to read and now I feel even more energetic than I was before I read your comment!

I look forward to seeing you on the webinar Sunday!

      ~ Don

  11. Hi Don,

    Congrats!!

I remember you laying out the framework for your campaign well; the exact post. All is going according to plan I see. You’ve been everywhere through your dedication, your clarity and your persistence in speaking your unique message. Smart, persistent work pays off every time.

I still get emails from folks sharing that our webinar together was UBER inspiring. People dig it. You have that type of special energy Don, and combine that with your vision and you have something epic brewing over here.

Congrats on your eBook launch. I know it’ll be a stunning success!!!

    Ryan

    1. Hi Ryan,

      Thank you Ryan!

It really is going to plan and actually is ahead of plan. That’s pretty exciting. Now I am positioned and ready for the big push moving forward. It’s time to show business owners that you can be great at marketing and make a lot of money on the way. I intend to show them through my own journey!!!!

That’s really cool that you’re getting emails from our podcast together. That just gets me jacked up!!!!

      I appreciate you my friend!

      ~ Don

  12. Hey Don,

    Great post.

Marketing is very hard work. Anyone that says that it isn’t is just fooling themselves.

With regards to blgging, I didn’t know how much marketing goes into it to make it successful. Same goes for any other business.

You’ve done A LOT of awesome stuff Don. It’s truly impressive. Especially that live event. Sounds like that will be a huge breakthrough for you. Will there be a tape of that?

I know many people know me as a blogger on my site, but I’m more than that. I have an offline business that I’m trying to build up as well. And you, Don, are an inspiration to any and everyone who does business.

Keep on reaching beyond the stars, my friend.

    – Andrew

    1. Hi Andrew,

It sure is my friend! But, what I love about marketing online is if you do it right once you can reap multiple long-term rewards from it. I remember the old days when it was one action for one moment and then off to the next one. Once it was gone or thrown in the trash it was gone.

I so appreciate your kind words. Yes, the SEMrush webinar will be recorded. I’ll be sharing the YouTube video on all my social channels and I will likely do a blog article where I can use the video again in it. There may also be a downloadable Slideshare.

I’m still working on getting published in a major east coast business journal as well and I just got off of the phone with a popular radio show in Philadelphia. That will be way cool to go to Philly for that!!!

I know you are much more than that, you’ve shared a bit with me. I think it’s actually more of a challenge for businesses who are offline to make their marketing work online just because of the mindset and mentality. But, I have experienced a few true success stories!

Thank you again for such kind words Andrew!!!!

Let’s keep reaching together my friend!

      ~ Don

  13. Hi Don,

First I want to say congratulations on the wonderful book you have written. I know it is going to “shift” the minds of marketers which is well needed!

Yes, our businesses can change overnight when we write an book, do webinars, be a guest on other sites. I know I’ve changed from blogger to product creator during the past 2 years. Don’t get me wrong, my blog is part of my business, but there came a time when I had to step up to the plate…go the extra mile and start creating products. Life has changed since then and I love it!

Indeed, you will undergo yet another change in your life ..or should I say a “shift” to make your business prosper. You have so much to offer people and I know through our phone conversation how enthused you are to do so.

    I’m your cheer-leader lol

    -Donna

    1. Hi Donna,

Thank you so very much!!!! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your friendship and your support!

Changes, they are in the air. This is one of the most exciting times in a long, long time. I can’t wait to see what the future holds with this eBook and lots of new ones already being planned.

As you have already experienced, it’s an amazing journey isn’t it!!!!

I hope you have a great week.

      ~ Don

  14. Hey UnveiltheWeb (Don), I almost went to my ISP’s office with a gun. Guess what would have happened.

These guys heard when I asked my 10 month old son to load the gun and they hurriedly tweaked their old severs so I’m glad I can read your blog today. But I think they still have to pay for wasted time 😉

    BTW…

Congratulations on your successes this year. You’ve not seen it yet. You are great at what you do so much that you can’t even hide.

I have had success with guest posts and some reports (small ebooks) I intend to write one ebook this year but a lot is in my hands.

I’m still to trying out my first webinar. The Internet connection here makes it difficult

I’ll have to checkout your ebook right away and of course your second post on semrush as soon as it goes live.

You are a source of encouragement and knowledge and thanks my friend Donna for that short, clean video

    1. Hi Enstine,

LOL… that’s funny. I’m glad they got the issue resolved. We’ve had some fun talking on Facebook messages. Haven’t we?

Thank you as always for your very kind words! I’m excited about the eBook. What a lot of work it has been but it’s been so well worth it. Now the hard part begins with the marketing.

Thank you Donna! I thought that was soooo cool of her to do.

Thank as always for your kind words Enstine.

I hope you have a great week.

      ~ Don

  15. Hi Don,

First thing I want to tell you is CONGRATULATIONS my dear. You really did great.

As you said, a blog or site without promotion is dead. You might as well have nothing at all, because if there is not exposure, it’s simple totally invisible online.

I am so fortunate here to have been mentioned twice in such a small group of people. Thus the need to go ahead and create relationships with other successful entrepreneurs like yourself.

As for you, my dear, you also have been also mentioned in my last 2 posts and as you said you’ll be my guest next Monday, which I’m so excited about that!

Great new and best success to you!

    1. Hi Sylviane,

Thank you soooo much! This last week has seemed like a complete blur!!! Writing an eBook is a lot more work than I thought it would be!!!

I’m sooo sorry I missed your article in my “Thank You” section. I have updated to include the link to your latest post.

I’m so blessed to have people like you that I can count on are becoming true friends. I’m looking forward to my post on your site next week. It will be so much fun!!!!

Thank you for the incredible post did for me late last week. I will jumping over soon to engage on it.

      Have an awesome week Syvliane!!!

      ~ Don
