How My Marketing Strategies in 2014 Positioned Me For Explosive Growth in 2015

Author : , Date : December 22, 2014

First off, I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! This is my FAVORITE time of the year both personally and for business. It’s a time to reflect on the joys and challenges, think through what worked and didn’t work in my business and dream about what 2015 might bring.

Over the weekend I did a lot of reflecting (I have a lot more to do, lol…) and as I was just commenting on Donna Merrill’s article “The 10 Best Ways To Blog in 2015” it reminded me of all the changes this last year has brought.

You see, I’ve been in web design, search engine optimization and social media marketing in one way or another for the last ten years. I took a break for about 18 months in 2011- 2013 to try some other things that didn’t go as planned, so in late 2013 I went back into web design.

Over the years, I have learned the web industry so well that I love helping my clients with ideas and inspiration to help them learn how to grow their businesses through the internet.

Almost all of my clients are businesses primarily offline but they want to learn how to use the internet to grow their businesses. They know that something is wrong with mass marketing like TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, flyers, brochures, etc… They have watched their numbers slowly decline as their prospects move online more and more each year and more and more tune out the advertisements.

I’ve seen that when marketing is done right the opportunities and sales are there, but it has required a major shift in thinking. I’ve learned through a lot of experience, testing and reading books like the Emyth series by Michael Gerber, “It’s Not What You Sell, It’s What You Stand For” by Roy Spences Jr., and “Start With Why” by Simon Sinek.

With all of the experience and education over the years, I decided that I could better help people by teaching them how to build a world class business website with a blog. So I created some new services and moved away from web design and production to teach people how to build their online presence in a profitable way for their businesses.

What it has evolved into is:

  • Consulting for clients of web designers, search engine optimization companies, social companies and graphic designers to help their clients help them. For a small fee, I spend four to six weeks teaching their clients “what business they are ‘really’ in” from the public’s point of view, what problems they solve, who the “specifically” solve them for and how their products and services are part of a solution. This will help any web based production company as well by giving them the tools they need to really help their clients.
  • 1-on1 Consulting or coaching with companies who want to make the transition to online marketing. I teach them things learned above but also go into much more details helping them build strategies, goals and objectives and understanding how the web works holistically to help their business grow.
  • In 2015 we’ll be starting small group online masterminds that allow the same teaching but at a lesser price and in group learning environment.
  • Business coaching for web designers, search engine optimization, social media and graphic design companies. It’s perfect for start-ups, freelancers or those who want to break free from struggling at growing their business but are great at their craft.

My blog is at the core of my marketing! But, the blog had to have strategies, goals and objectives and if blogging can work for you, I had to first prove it would work for me.

How did I do it?

  1. I have a philosophy that every article I write has to solve one problem for one person and be worth the reader’s time or I’ve failed both them and myself.
  2. I shared my blog articles on specific places were my target audience hangs out:
  3. I worked at creating relationships and a blog community with some incredible influencers who serve the same audience I do in a different way and I worked to create incredible value for them by including them in blog articles, social media posts and videos.

So what does that mean for my readers, prospects and clients?

It means when they visit my blog they see a lot of high quality comments and conversations. When they see my social media they see a lot of shares and engagement. That means something in a world where a lot of marketers are talking a good game for others but don’t demonstrate their competency by doing anything for themselves.

That is really an important thing to me for people to see me as a competent and credible.

In 2014, I was featured in a blog articles, videos, social media posts or was a guest blogger nearly 300 times. The audience I was exposed to was HUGE! It is easily in the millions. That means my ideas were spread wide and deep across the web to my primary and secondary audience.

What is so cool is that in just the last ten days I was invited to become a regular contributor on This is no small thing in my plans and it was an unexpected surprise.

2014 was Just Setting the Stage

While 2014 has been one of the best and most fulfilling times in my entrepreneurial journey, 2015 will be even better. But it won’t be by accident. If it were not for the time, energy, resources and efforts of 2014 there is no way 2015 could happen!

I have some very aggressive strategies and goals for 2015:

  1. Expand upon connecting with influencers who are business bloggers and business journalists who blog.
  2. Expand my video blog series titled “Q&A” with Don. Here are a few I’ve already produced and posted:A Real
  3. Starting a new podcast series to inspire business owners through other business owners experiences. Already we’ve planned some amazing, experienced long-time business owners who have achieved massive success in the $100 millions of dollars over their entrepreneurial careers. Stay tuned and you’re going to want to learn from these amazing people!!!! Thanks to Tim Kerin, Joey Dalessio and Karl Diffenderfer for agreeing already (check their website links below).
  4. I will be accepting a blog post contributor each week by invitation only. I’m lining up some great bloggers for you.
  5. I will be contributing to starting in January and I’m excited about that. I’ve also been approached by several business journals to be a regular contributor.
  6. I will be looking for guest blogging opportunities in 2015. I have three coming out over the next month and in June I’m excited to be contributing in Adrienne Smith’s amazing blog!
  7. Create an online self-paced training program for business owners who want to change their messaging and online presence and learn several marketing strategies but either cannot afford coaching and consulting or want to experience me first before purchasing 1-on-1 programs or Masterminds.
  8. Write one short ebook per month that will be available for free (either on my website or Amazon) and write some others that will be available for sale on Amazon.
  9. Join the Leadership Roundtable that Tim Kerin at Learning Lessons in Business is creating so that CEO’s and Business Owners can learn from one another and create more success together.
  10. Develop relationships with event coordinators and planners and earning new opportunities to speak across the U.S. So, if you know of anyone looking for a dynamic speaker, please consider making an introduction! (Click here to learn more and see some videos on my speaker page)
  11. Joining and involving myself in the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce (voted the #1 chamber in America in 2013 by Presidents of chambers across the U.S. that make up the United States Chamber of Commerce).

So, what are your strategies and goals for 2015?

If you want to go somewhere, you have to know where you want to go. That’s one reason I love this season so much is it’s a time to pause, reflect, celebrate and look forward.

I want to take a moment and personally wish the following a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’s! Without you in 2014, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today with the hopes of a brighter tomorrow:

  1. Congratulations! You have achieved some great things in 2014.

Connecting with other bloggers is very essential, if you want to become a successful. I don’t think I would have been able to get where I am today, if I hadn’t started focusing on building relationship with other bloggers. Most certainly, I wouldn’t have been able to run a business from the comfort of my home :).

By the way, I just finished reading your post on Semrush, great work, mate.

    Best wishes for 2015.

    – Dev

    1. Hi Dev,

2014 was an amazing year for certain. It was just awesome but 2015 is already in full swing and here we go!!!!

You are absolutely right about connecting with other bloggers. It’s because of other bloggers I’m having success as I have helped them to succeed.

Yesterday I was published in SEMrush .com at and it’s just the start of the journey this year.

In addition, I launched the podcast today and we already in full force.

Thank you so much for commenting and sharing. I appreciate you stopping by my blog and sharing. I hope to get to know you!

      Have a great week.

      ~ Don

  2. Hey Don,

I’m just getting your blog post after taking 2 weeks off. I went to visit some family in Mississippi and it was pretty hard for me to get internet access, but I managed to whenever I got the chance.

I’m looking at your goals, and i have to say “wow”.. you have a lot plan for 2015 and you seemed very enthusiastic about it. I do have to say that I’m quite enthused for you as well. One thing I’ve been making an effort to do is live in a moment and make each day feel like it’s brand new. It makes life a bit more interesting!

2015 I want to keep improving my online marketing. i want to eventually go back to using PPC and Solo Ads, but on top of that I want to create more videos and do some guest posts. I also want to make it a point to focus more on market metrics and find ways to be everywhere my target market is which are network marketers/affiliate marketers who don’t have a lot of time to build their businesses.

But 2015 is definitely going to be another interesting adventure for us! I hope you had a great Christmas with your friends and family and it looks like you already have a head start on 2015! Have a good one and Happy New Year!

    1. Hi Sherman,

I hope you had a great visit and that it was a refreshing time away? There is nothing as nice for many as family during the holidays.

I am extremely enthusiastic and I’m passionate about making a difference. I really believe that a cure to some of our problems as a society are healthy small businesses that are growing and stable and offering great employment opportunities. Marketing and sales done right can help them!

Great businesses hire people who help them and that means more money for families to achieve their dreams and goals.

But in order to do that they have to become masters of marketing and sales!

I’m looking forward to walking alongside you in 2015 and growing with you. I love what you’re doing and I know you are a helpful inspiration to many!

      Happy New Year Sherman!!!

      ~ Don

  3. Hey Don,

Firstly I want to give you a huge thank you for the mention. I am truly honored. I’ve seen how quickly you have grown in 2014 using amazing techniques and always giving superb information to your readers.

Your plans for 2015 are amazing. I especially like the idea of writing ebooks. That is one thing I too am implementing in my strategy this year. I’m sure you can knock off one a month because your blog is like an ebook in itself 🙂

Reaching out to the offline world is a goldmine. You have that marketing “eye” where you can see what exactly people need to get their business online. Last year when I started reaching out, I first did a few for free or barter…(my hair dresser is $300 so that was a great barter for a Facebook campaign)

I can see how 2014 was just setting the stage for you and am so confident that you will be successful this year. Why? Because you have a plan. And that is what is needed in any business. Once we have a plan, stick to it, nothing can stop us!

As for your blog…it is social proof already my friend.

I wish you all the success and happiness you well deserve in 2015!

    1. HI Donna,

I’m really excited about 2015 and it’s going to be an amazing year, I can just feel it!!!

Of course nothing happens by accident and as my clients know I never ask them to do things I don’t do myself. If you don’t have a plan, you are guaranteed to not succeed. I kinda like that rhyme, lol…

I’m actually going to take the concepts from my blog to make my ebook and condense the articles into one format. Of course they will need editing and better flow.

I am really looking forward to the offline networking as well. Of course that’s where I’m most experience and comfortable, but that’s relative.

I appreciate you Donna and I am looking forward to growing with you even more in 2015!!!!

I hope you’re having a Happy New Year!!!!

      ~ Don

  4. Hi Don,

First off, a belated Merry Christmas to you and your entire family. And also a Happy New Year as well. I wish you and your family a safe and healthy New Year.

Great stuff to hear about here. I’m really impressed and proud because I’ve seen the amount of work you put in to really get out there and connect and also to just be providing quality information for your readers. It’s truly great.

I’m impressed by the goals you’re pursuing for this year … specifically podcasting. That will open up a whole new audience my friend.

Also, that’s pretty impressive about being featured nearly 300 times. That’s honestly awesome and I know that in this year, you’ll easily double or triple it.

Good luck to you in all your endeavors, my friend. Looking forward to watching the journey and picking up some tips along the way.

Have a great day and start to the New Year.

    – Andrew

    1. Hi Andrew,

It’s exciting to be right there with you my friend!!! Your blog was an inspiration and I love the amount of thought and energy you put into your every blog article!!!

I appreciate the kind words and I’m excited to grow alongside you this year. I’m already setting up some awesome interviews for January on the Podcast so here we go my friend.

Hope you had Happy New Year!!!

      ~ Don

  5. Hello Don,

    Wonderful write-up!

Your strategies are totally awesome, and I would also like to follow some of it and copy it.
I’m also looking for many guest posting opportunities myself and accepting guest posts, is going to be by invitation only (like you).

And I must admit, I have to really work on what you did on, that is to working on creating relationship with fellow bloggers. Hope everything will be on the right path for me as well.

And, Wishing you a very Happy New Year!

    1. Hi Nisha,

Thank you for your very kind words!!! I’m looking forward to an incredible 2015 and thanks for allowing me to kick it off with an article on your site soon!

Relationships is the key to success in any business venture either online or offline. Too many think their product or service is good enough to build a company on but that’s not true. You must successfully connect with people who can help you achieve your strategies, goals and objectives.

Happy New Year Nisha! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us both.

      ~ Don

  6. Hey Don,

I hope your Christmas was amazing, I’m sure it was. I had a wonderful time with my family and I’ve been taking it easy these last few days as well.

Since I met you I know that you have been doing really well in business. 2014 has been an exciting year for a lot of us and it looks like you have a lot planned for 2015 as well. I have no doubt Don that this next year will exceed all your expectations and I’m thrilled to have been a small part of that.

I’m glad you accepted my invitation to be a guest on my blog next year and I appreciate the well wishes too. Sorry I’m a little late getting by here but I do want to wish you a Very Happy New Year. I hope you have a great celebration and enjoy whatever way you’ll be ringing in the new year.

Thank you again Don for your ongoing support and friendship. Looking forward to even better things in the coming year for us both.

    1. Hi Adrienne,

It was an AWESOME Christmas this year and I’m so happy to hear your’s was as well. It’s been all about family and friends; as well as some much needed time away from EVERTHING digital, lol… I’ll be around early this week and then take a few days off for New Years so I’m ready to get back at it on the Jan 5th.

2014 was really an amazing year for me. The first half was all about experminenting, researching new ideas and taking what I already new over ten years of entrepreneurship and then creating a plan.

The second half of the year was just simple execution of the plan and it’s been an incredible journey!!!

The fruit of my labors not only included new business but as importantly new friends like yourself. What a blessing to me you’ve been in 2014 and I can’t wait to be a blessing to you many different ways in 2015 and beyond!

I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to your community in 2015. I don’t think we can even begin to imagine where the year is going to take us or the amazing opportunities that are coming our way!!!!

      Happy New Year Adrienne!

      ~ Don

  7. Hi Don.

Well done for what you achieved this year. I thought that the video sessions were a particularly good idea.

I have learned a lot from you, and I’m sure that will continue in 2015.

I’ve just opened an account with GrowthHackers due to reading this post. I was aware of the website but had not seen it or considered it to be something accessible. But now I look forward to widening my network, and of course putting myself out there more.

    All the best for 2015.

    1. Hi Nathan,

Thank you so much for your kind words! It’s been a blessing connecting with you over the last few months and I look forward to getting to know you better in 2015. has been a great site and resource for me. I’m glad Adam Connell recommended it to me. As I said, it was the entry point to and opened the opportunity for me to contribute to their blog.

Yep, those videos are a lot of fun to do and I’m really looking forward to a new one every week.

I hope you have a Happy New Year Nathan!

      ~ Don

  8. Hi Don,
Merry Christmas to you and compliments of the season! Hope you had a great time in this season of celebration and reflection! 😀 Your post also got me reflecting on how well 2014 has been for me in business and my strategies for business.

Well, there have been successes and failures in 2004 but its a good thing that we don’t despair as “tomorrow” would be better! Its good knowing you in 2014, and I have benefited immensely from your wisdom and skill in online marketing!

Wishing you the best of the season. I pray that your goals for 2015 would be speedily accomplished. Thanks
This comment shared on as well.

    1. Hi Sunday,

I did have a wonderful time and took some much needed time off to spend with family and friends. It’s been very refreshing!

I hope you’ve had a very Merry Christmas as well!!!!

I hear you, 2014 was a pivital year and while the first half of the year was strategizing and setting goals, the second half was spent executing the tasks.

What a ride it has been! A few lows popped up, but the highs were way better than I could have ever asked for!

I’m really happy for your success and I’m looking foward to being more invovled on in 2015. I’m glad to see some of their technical struggles may be past them. It’s really a valuable resoure and site.

I hope you have a fantastic and Happy New Year Sunday!

      ~ Don

  9. Great article Don! Lots of useful information here. I’m an internet
marketer myself, and I have got to tell you it’s a bit of “information”
overload at first. It’s really hard to kind of put what you learned into

Luckily, I found a really good mentor, and needless to
say I’m no longer working a day job. PJ Gahagan is seriously digital
marketing of a new generation, plus instead of just teaching you he does
it with you. I seriously OWE all of my success to a 21-Year-Old.
(Didn’t think I’d ever say that!)

Once again, Great article Dude! I’ll be subscribing.

    1. Hi Jackie,

Thanks, I appreciate your kind words and welcome to my blog!

It can definetly be information overload for a while. But, it’s like learning a language… you just keep learning what you need to learn and develop the skills till one day you look back and wonder why it seemed so difficult? Wouldn’t you agree?

I’m glad you found a great mentor. We all need those and they are instrumental in our lives. I did delete your link as I don’t approve of them unless they advance the conversation for either myself or my readers. I hope you understand?

I hope you have a very Happy New Year Jackie!

      ~ Don

  10. Hi Don

Though I just got to know you this year. I know that you have accomplished much in your niche and the blogosphere. Let me say that I love your title and you have been an inspiration to everyone this year.

So in 2015, reading this post, I know that you will accomplish so much. I love this post because of the way you list your strategies for next year. I love the fact that you acknowledged those who are supporting you. Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas

    1. Hi Awazie,

I hope you had a Merry Christmas. It was really nice to take some time off and just enjoy my family and friends. Can you believe 2015 is knocking on the door now?

It’s been amazing second half of 2014 and I accomplished everything I planned and more! I’m really looking forward to 2015!!!

I appreciate all of your encouragement and kind words Awazie! I’m delighted we met and I look forward to getting to know you better in 2015.

      Happy New Year Awazie!

      ~ Don

  11. Wow Don! That’s a lot of achievements! I hope I could do as much as you have on 2015! 🙂

I look forward to seeing you on SEMRush. It’s one of my go-to blogs after all.

It’s been a pleasure connecting with you this year and I look forward to getting to know you further this coming year.

    Take care and Merry Christmas!

Get some rest and start 2015 with a bang!

    1. Hi Dennis,

I hope you had a very Merry Christmas!!! I have taken some time off and it’s been so refreshing.

Thank you for the kind words. The second half of 2014 has been an incredible ride. I achieved every goal and objective I had and that was the key. I had a plan and I followed it all the way through.

Of course there were some bumps in the road, but I’m absolutely delighted with the outcome.

Dennis, if you know what you want to achieve in 2015 and your disciplined you can do anything you want to do!!!! You just have to know what and why you’re doing something and does it fit who you truly are!!!

I’m looking forward to the articles on SEMRush. I will start writing the first article this week and hope it’s published in early January. Of course, I don’t know what their publishing calendar looks like.

It’s been great connecting with you the last couple of months Dennis! I hope you have a wonderful and Happy New Year!!!!

      ~ Don

  12. Hey Don, inspiring post, it’s alway great to reflect at the milestones you’ve reached and also the things you didn’t get to achieve at the end of the year.

It looks like you made a real impact with your blog in 2014. many congrats, I’m so positive that 2015 will be an even better year for you.

I’ve got to say I love your philosophy, especially for writing a post where you ask yourself what’s in it for your readers, something I try and do more often too these days.

My main goals and objectives for 2015 are as follows:

    1. Write 1 blog post per week (dropping my frequency from 2 posts per week)
    2. Continue building my blog community, and finding new ways to promote blog content
    3. Really exploding my email list.

Don, have an awesome Christmas mate, all the best for 2015 🙂

    1. Hi Fabrizio,

I hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas and you’re looking forward to a Happy New Year!

I took some much needed time off and will take late next week off as well as I gear up and get ready to go hard for another 12 months!

I appreciate the kind words. From June to December 2014 it was a foundational period and I accomplished everything I wanted to in that time. But, it was because I had a plan and I followed it all the way through.

It really is all about the readers. I truly want them leaving wanting to come back for more and the only way to do that is to give them information that makes their lives and businesses better. It isn’t about me, it’s about them!

Your goals are awesome. I really believe if you focus on building your community you will see your blog continue to grow and meet your goals and objectives for your hard work and efforts.

All the best to you in 2015 as well and I look forward to connecting with you more and getting to know you!

      Happy New Year!

      ~ Don

  13. Hi Don,

It’s been an amazing year for me as well but in learning a lot of things. I can at least say, I’ve learned a lot interesting facts from your blog.

You’ve achieved so many things in this year, and I keep wondering you will be the one of the face of marketing within next few years. 🙂

Keep up your amazing works and I’m sure a very good future is waiting for you though the year of 2014 has already reflected it.

    1. Hi Abrar,

Thank you for stopping by to share with us!!! I really appreciate your kind words and I look forward to what the future holds. Only time will tell, right?

Again, thank you so much for your comment.

      ~ Don

  14. Hi Don,

WOW you have accomplished so much and you also seem to have a very good plan for the future. You have been around the internet for a long time and anyone from the outside looking in can easily see that you know your stuff.

i like you point that your blog had to have strategies, goals, and objectives. You surely have proven your success, which is why you have so many of us following you.

You have given us the blueprint with the 3 ways that you were able to accomplish this. That is incredible. You have shown us how to do it and have built so many connections along the way.

Your extensive list of your plans for 2015 is so very exciting. I surely will take notice and do my best to learn from you. Thank you for sharing with us today. Anyone who reads this in my opinion has to share it with others. It is too valuable not to. Happy Holidays!

    1. Hi Nathaniel,

Thank you so much for the incredibly kind words!

I believe so strongly in having a plan and creating the strategies, goals and objectives necessary to be successful in any kind of marketing, but especially internet marketing.

I remember a mentor telling me a long time ago that if you have no target, you’ll miss it every time! Isn’t that the truth?

Thank you again for your encouragement Nathaniel. I hope you have a Merry Christmas!!!

      ~ Don

  15. Hi Don,

Wow, that’s the way to go! 🙂

You got it all incredibly planned and meticulously implemented. I’m sure the way you’ve worked your way, you are certainly going to have an awesome blogging and business year in 2015!

Thanks for sharing your reflections with us and it’s great to know about your professional history and experiences. So, you’ve made a successful shift of thinking that goes with the trend. You’ve done great with online marketing and with all the plans you have, it’s only going to get better.

I agree that blog’s need to have strategies, goals, and objectives as they are an important tool for your business. I’m impressed with your philosophy too.

I’ve seen one of your Q&A videos and I did tell you that you were better than Matt Cutts in that! Love your plans and strategies lined up for the upcoming year.

As for me, I’ll be working to develop the ABC and also publish a few ebooks, hopefully. I want the ABC to become a real value engagement and interaction platform and not just a marketing and promotion platform, so most of my time and energy will be spent there.

  16. OK Don! This post is so good, it’sforming the outline for my own thought process over the next week! My creative mind is swimming with plans but I’ve yet to sit down and spell them out beyond my personal journal, as you did here. So even though it’s been crazy few weeks and even though the flu has now decided to pay a visit and work it’s way through our house, you have motivated me!!

Isn’t guest blogging grand! I was invited to be a regular contributor to Launch and Hustle and am continually appreciative of the expanded exposure. Adrienne Smith’s blog is surely a bloggers dream come true, as her community there is one we all aspire to emulate! I’ll be over there as well in 2015!

Meeting you this final quarter of 2014 has been truly a blessing Don. I am looking forward to the New Year and all that is to come.

Wishing you the happiest of holidays and a joyous New Year,

    1. Hi Deborah,

You are an amazing business person and I’m so grateful for your encouragement! You are a special person to learn from and I’m delighted to call you friend!

I’m glad I could inspire you and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. Whatever it is, I know it’s going to be spectacular and we will be able to learn from one another.

I would it if you would consider contributing a post on my site. I’ll email you…

Meeting you has been my blessing Deborah as well. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a very, very happy and prosperous New Year!!!!

      ~ Don

  17. This is amazingly incredible Don. You’ve gone a long way but I think 2014 has been the year for a solid foundation.

Your achievements have been amazing and with your plans for 2014, there is no doubt that you will be a brighter light on the way of many.

My man gold in 2015 is to build more relationships. I think that’s where the business lies. The bigger my community, the more the business. Of course, I mean to relate with people of value.

Besides building more relationships, I don’t forget strengthening my links with those I already network with.

I want to be very active in promoting others. I know if I make others succeed, I will also. That’s why @Donna Merrill cannot escape me in January. I think my community should know more about her products and services.

One thing I’M seriously waiting for are your posts on I think it’s going to be a good ride. 😉

You know I love coming up with products so by March,I should be publishing my next platform for bloggers. I’m reserving my comments about it for now.

while broadedNet is been doing good, I’m coming up with something again for those money making bloggers 😉

You are moving like a tsunami Don. I don’t see any stoppage on your way. Congratulations on your achievements.

Thanks for making 2014 a beautiful year for my community. 2015 has more packaged for us.

Do have a beautiful Christmas, you and family

    1. Hi Enstine,

It’s been amazing to ride this wave, and you were one of the very first people I connected with when I started this journey and for that I’m so grateful my friend!!!

You can never go wrong creating more relationships with influential, valuable bloggers and networkers. You are really good at it.

It’s exciting what’s happening with I will be posting the links on my social media and in my email. Those are the two best ways for you to get the information. I think you’re already on my email list if I remember right?

I look forward to seeing the new product you are working on. You are really gifted, intelligent and a master marketer. I’ll be on the lookout!

Thank you for the privilege of being a part of your community Enstine!

I hope you and your lovely family have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

      ~ Don

  18. Way to put yourself and your goals out there, Don, and I so appreciate the link.

I think it’s a good idea to take some well-deserved time off, and I’ll be doing the same (kind of, as we have some really fun YouTube projects in the works, but those are more for family fun than anything, as you already saw!)

One of these days we’ll chat for real. Until then, good to see you here again, friend!

    1. Hi Brittany,

Thank you Brittany for the kind words. I am ready for a little time off to recharge, dream and prepare to hit the ground running in a few weeks.

I look forward to seeing your YouTube videos. The ones you’ve made that I’ve seen have been fun to watch.

Let’s definitely plan to chat after the first of the year. I’m sorry I’ve missed you!

      Have a Merry Christmas Brittany!

      ~ Don

  19. Hi Don,

Merry Christmas! Congrats on your guest post opp with SEMRush, that’s big time! I visit the site quite a bit to check metrics for my client’s articles, what a fab opportunity.

Thanks so much for the kind mention and for sharing your goals with us.

I saw so much growth from you this year, the year where we officially connected 😉 SO happy that we did!

I have some neat things lined up, including publishing more eBooks, fine-tuning my marketing strategy, and….drum roll please…I started building a list today lol.

I felt aligned with it, so I went ahead and tossed that opt in form on my site. I feel it’ll make things easier for my readers to get my content quickly, so I went ahead with it.

For now, I’ll send out my weekly blog posts, the odd update or 2 with a link, and maybe an email chat with a pressing question or 2, and no links.

Oh yes, outside of the work side of things, Kelli and I just got a 4 month house sit in Bali! Woohoo! February through June, we’re really excited because it’s really close to some stunning beaches.

Don, Merry Christmas to you and your family.

So happy we met this year!

    Tweeting this through Triberr 🙂

  21. Hi Don,

I know that 2014 has been the year where you discovered the importance in connecting with bloggers that helped you share your articles far and wide and share YOU and your SITE on their own blog as well. Thus promoting you even more.

Like you, in 2015 I am going to have at least one guest post a month (at least) I hope more, and it’s going to be by invitation only as well. I’m very excited about that.

I’m sure that 2015 will bring you the fruits of what you’ve sown this year, and I’m sure your business will grow from that.

Thank you so much for the mention. Very much appreciated, and have a fabulous and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

    1. Hi Sylviane,

I’m so excited about your blog. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my thoughts with you about how you could make three types of blog work on one site. Your site is SPECTACULAR!!!!

I can’t wait to see where your business goes in 2015. Your plans are exciting for the year based on what you have shared with me.

Looking forward to being a partner with you as we help one another in 2015 like we did in 2014.

      Have a Merry Christmas!!!

      ~ Don

  22. Hi Don,

It’s been quite a ride in 2014 for you. I’ve seen your amazing growth in just a few short months. Yes, you were setting the stage for all you offer. I know for sure that 2015 is going to be your year to expand. I can see you doing business like crazy…and having the staff to help..which will be much needed.

I just checked out SEMRush and it looks pretty exciting! Gosh you are doing such a great job and I’m so happy I’m your friend.

I must thank you for the mention…I really mean that one Don.

Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New year,

    1. Hi Donna,

It has been an incredible ride and I can’t believe have far I’ve come in such a short time. It’s hard to believe this blog began in June and I never looked back!

I have to thank you because from the first day we connected I felt like it was such a blessing to have connected to you through your blog. I learn something new from you with each post you write!!!

I’m excited about I’m also excited about some upcoming opportunities with some prominent business journals.

Without people such as yourself, it would never have been possible. How do I even begin to thank you? Your video that you did introducing me to your audience a few weeks ago was one of the most special things that has ever happened to me and I will never be able to forget you!!!!!

So, with that said, I can’t wait to see how your business grows in the new year and learn how I can help you!!! I would really love to invite you to write an article on my blog.

I’m happy to be your friend as well and blessed beyond measure as a result!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years Donna!!!

      ~ Don

  23. Hi Don

If I am asked to tell people who rock in blogosphere in 2014 I can say it for sure you are one of a few who really proved how to come, see and conquer in any field.

The second phrase of your post’s headline was actually the key strategy of your business in 2014 where you wrote, share, mention and well continued this process without any break.

You most of the time mentioned a list of great online marketers regardless of the Google’s requirement because you meant to build your blog community by referring them who mean a lot to you. How succeeded in your struggle can be seen with the level of readers interaction at your blog.

You well positioned yourself for a monumental growth in 2015 and you must agree with me this all happened because you first developed a strategy and fully followed it to bring results. Now you are confidently declaring how an explosive growth are gonna make in 2015. This is called smart work by very smart people.

Thanks for the sharing of an inspirational post that is the result of your wise and hard work during previous year.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

    1. Hi Mi,

I am always inspired and encouraged with interaction with you!!!! You have taught me much from your own blog writings and I’m grateful for your friendship.

I came into blogging early last summer with a very clearly defined set of strategies and goals. I’m so happy to share that thanks to many I was able to fulfill them and position my business for explosive growth in 2015.

I couldn’t have done it without meeting some amazing people such as yourself. You have been a blessing to me almost since day 1. You are not someone I will ever be able to forget!!!

I hope that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Mi!!!!

      ~ Don

      1. Hey Don

Just missed one of the most important points previously.

Thanks a lot for the mention that means a lot to me and I can proudly refer it to my blog community.

  24. Wooo Hooo What an Amazing Article Don! Thank you so much for the mention my friend, I to am looking forward to an exciting 2015!!

Wishing you and yours a Very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!!
    Chery :))

    1. Hi Chery,

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the reciprocity that began between the two of us almost six months ago. Where has the time gone?

2015 – the year of massive opportunity and growth for us both!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well!

      ~ Don

  25. Hi, Don,

You’ve definitely exploded in growth this year, and in just the several short months I’ve known you, my friend, so CONGRATULATIONS on a job well done!! 🙂

So glad we met and started sharing ideas/comments, etc. to enrich either other – what a blessing.

Christmas is my favorite time of year also and there are many reasons for that. Celebrating Christ’s birth, of course, and a time of reflecting – I also enjoy this at the end of the year. Am so very thankful for the new friends I’ve made this year, of whom you are a big blessing.

Love Michael Gerber’s books – have you read The EMyth Revisited? Life changing for me! Learned so much a few years ago, and my entire mindset shifted after reading it.

Lots of plans and upcoming exciting things for 2015, one of which – a move to Florida…Yep, we fly out January 6, and look forward to being near my daughter (and the beach)!

So happy for your success, Don, and look forward to more great stuff from you in 2015.

    Talk soon,

    1. Hi Carol,

I’m delighted we met as well. WOW! Florida… that will be a big change of scenery. I’m so glad to be back in PA, we missed it while we were in TX. I really love the four seasons!!!

Oh yes, I’ve read all of Gerber’s books and own them all. They were very influential early on in my entrepreneurial journey. So much so that when I coach web designers, seo, social media and graphic design companies I use Emyth Mastery as required reading.

2015 is going to be a fantastic year! I can’t wait to see what happens in the next six months. The last six have been a real ride!!!!

Thank you for your kind words as always. It’s because of people like you I’ve had some success and I’m so grateful.

      Have a Merry Christmas Carol!

      ~ Don
